:: Program Choices Alternative Programs - more than 30 alternative programs focusing on Aboriginal education, visual & performing arts, athletics, faith-based, language and culture and teaching philosophy. City Centre Education Project - Edmonton Public School's City Centre Education Partnership (CCEP) is an innovative collaboration that brings together four schools and community based services across nine of Edmonton's downtown core communities. CCEP serves students from an early learner age through to the completion of Grade 9. Early learners and children in grades Kindergarten to 6 are served at Delton, John A. McDougall and Norwood Schools. Junior High students are served at Spruce Avenue School. Early Years - Edmonton Public Schools believe in learning through play, that all children learn from one another, that parent involvement enhances child development and that experiences during preschool years are crucial to a child's future learning. Edmonton Public Schools provides an Early Learning Program and an Early Education Program. Music Enrichment - unique opportunities for students to explore the study of music outside of their regular school schedule, including group lessons and choral, string and Orff ensembles. Other Programs - a variety of programs for students with specialized requirements. Special Education Programs - comprehensive and effective programming options for students who have special education needs. Summer School - courses for students who wish to continue their learning during the summer months. Skill Centre - The Skill Centre gives students experience with hands-on courses not found at other high schools, such as Health Sciences, Culinary Arts, Engineering Tech and Aerospace & Aviation. Transition Centres - The Transition Centres at McCauley and at Balwin provide short term transition programs for students who are new to Canada and have limited English and school experience.
