Alternative Programs - more than 30 alternative programs focusing on Aboriginal education, visual & performing arts, athletics, faith-based, language and culture and teaching philosophy.
Early Years - At Edmonton Public Schools we build on children's strengths in an inclusive, inquiry play-based, language and literacy rich environment. We work with parents and partners to support and transition children through the early years and beyond.
Music Enrichment - unique opportunities for students to explore the study of music outside of their regular school schedule, including group lessons and choral, string and Orff ensembles.
Other Programs - a variety of programs for students with specialized requirements.
Special Education Programs - comprehensive and effective programming options for students who have special education needs.
Summer School - courses for students who wish to continue their learning during the summer months.
Skill Centre - career courses that equip students with the skills, abilities and industry credentials to complete high school prepared to engage in the workforce or pursue further industry-related education. High school students can register for classes in culinary arts (Harry Ainlay School), engineering tech (J. Percy Page School) or health sciences (Ross Sheppard School) through any district high school.
Transition Program - The Transition Program at Balwin, Edith Rogers, J.Percy Page, M.E.Lazerte and Queen Elizabeth schools provide a short term support for students who are new to Canada and have limited English and school experience. The program helps students acquire basic numeracy, literacy and an understanding of school routines, schedules and practices.
